From weddings and bridal showers to birthdays, book clubs and holiday parties, we’d love to bring the bookshop to you and create something special for your guests.

Private events are perfect for:

• Girls' nights & special gatherings

• And anything else that could use a few more books!

How Private Events Work

Private bookings have a $500 minimum purchase commitment.

Purchases made by your guests during the event count toward the $500 minimum. If guest purchases reach or exceed $500, there is no additional amount due from the host. If sales do not reach $500, the host is responsible only for the remaining difference.

For example, if your guests purchase $425 in books and bookish goodies during your event, the host would be responsible for the remaining $75.

Prefer to Take Care of It Ahead of Time?

You can also choose to pay the $500 minimum upfront.

We would split the amount amongst your guests to give them each a credit to use towards the shop. Your guests can then shop using that prepaid amount. If purchases total less than $500, the remaining balance can be used toward books or merchandise for the host. If purchases exceed the guests gift credit, they can simply pay for anything beyond the prepaid amount.
